Travel Adjust Procedure




Step 1: Place fork or bike in work stand and rotate so fork is horizontal to the ground.
Step 2: Remove lower legs.
Step 3: Release air pressure from top cap, then remove air rod retainer plate using a park SPA-2 Red Spanner wrench.
Step 4: Firmly grasp air rod and pull out of upper tube. Note the orientation of the travel spacer(s). The one in this picture is set at 100mm of travel, using a single 30mm spacer.
Step 5: Inspect Air Rod and set travel spacer to desired height.

80mm - 1 - 30mm spacer
1 - 20mm spacer
130mm - No spacers
Step 6: Once spacers in place, Inspect air piston seal and grease air piston seal, and spring.
Step 7: Gently work Air rod assembly into fork leg and hand start the lower retainer plate.
Step 8: Tighten retainer plate and torque to 100 kgf-cm
Step 9: Use straight edge to align feet, and pressurize air chamber before installing lower legs.
Step 10: After you have cleaned and slick honey’d the seals. Carefully install Lower legs. Being cautious not to roll a seal under while sliding in place.
Step 11: Check to make sure feet have properly sat into the perches in the lower legs before hand starting the Lower bolts.
Torque lower leg bolts to 70 kgf-cm
Step 12: Clean grease and oil from fork, re-install… smile… and crack a beer… your velvet is now done.
